Re: SANE FORUMS - CODESIGN MAJOR REVIEW
@Oaktree @Dimity @tyme One of the essential components of the co-design is extensive consultation and discussions with our vast membership. To do this we would need a wide variety of communication methods and the ability to hear all voices in a way that feels safe and supportive for members to be honest and open throughout. Part of that @Dimity would absolutely be the ability to comment, discuss and put forward ones views at every stage of the process. So whilst you may not be able to (or interested) in one component, you may have extensive knowledge and/or views with another. This needs to be taken into account throughout the whole process so the maximum amount of members who want to be involved (even for a very small part) can be involved. It is my hope that this is a very extensive and inclusive process as it is the community here it affects as well as future members ...and what better people to know what needs to be done and how than those within the system/community.

Re: SANE FORUMS - CODESIGN MAJOR REVIEW
Hello Members!
sorry for the long delay - but we haven't forgotten about this commitment. Lots of excitement behind the scenes and all eyes are on the Federal Budget next Tuesday to hopefully see some ongoing commitment for SANE that will help us plan and deliver this codesign with a sense of what the future holds.
In the meantime we are exploring what technical platforms might work for the codesign including whether we can create private sort of discussion rooms right here on the forums to facilitate groups and chats about themes for the codesign review - or whether we need to use another online platform, as part of the suggestion above for a variety of methods/times/approaches to ensure greatest possible member involvement.
Fortunately we have already had great suggestions on how to structure that well and I am excited to share that we have now formed and held the first Lived Experience Advisory Committee for SANE - our new Board subcommittee, which I am so so proud to say is made up of people who use SANE's programs and services including forum members.
Yep, that's right - we have forum members on a committee that connects directly to the Board of SANE, in line with our commitment to lived experience inclusion and leadership and working towards community governance models.
We had the first meeting just the other week and the next step is to get their input on an outline for the process.
In the meantime, please do keep the discussion going here if you have thoughts to share, while we get ready for this critical piece of work as we do keep scanning this thread and monitoring it in preparation.
